possible norcal destinations for thanksgiving?

ws6616

Ready to race!
so my friends and i (5 people) are thinking about going somewhere outside of LA for thanksgiving, but one of my friend has been to most national parks in CA.
we are thinking about heading toward norcal (maybe Tahoe, but not sure what to do or if the slopes will open given this year's weird weather)

so here's what i need you guys' suggestions:
-possible destinations, things to do, (recommended)places to stay, etc. if it can be an entire package (with route suggestions) then it'd be great

and here are the criterias:
-3 days 4 night (leave Los ANgeles Wednesday afternoon at around 4 ish, come back on Saturday to avoid traffic)
-budget: at most $500 each person, including lodging, tickets for places, etc. (last time we went on a 5 days road trip it costed around $300 each person, only 3 of us went. this time, given it's thanksgiving, we're raising our budget)
-we most likely will get rental

thanks in advance guys

If you guys like beer at all you should take the drive up to Russian Rivers Brewery just north of SF.

There's also Barrelworks/ Firestone Walker brewery by santa barbara and they also have some good beers. Barrelworks is firestone's sour beer division.

I recently discovered how much i like sour beers and they are really hard to find

Here you go, and I'll probably regret this because it's my special thanksgiving destination. The Fairmont hotel in SF has an absolutely incredible thanksgiving buffet on the top floor overlooking the city! The food is amazing and includes all the normal thanksgiving dishes along with several other ideas which you will not be disappointed!

It is a formal dinner but you an wear semi casual clothing, it is kid friendly, date friendly, friendly for everybody!

Prime rib, turkey, steaks, Pork, shrimp, salads, sushi, burgers, etc, etc, etc. desserts are amazing. Champange, etc.

Get a room, party, shop, explore, go to dinner, then do Xmas shopping the next day!

Don't tell anybody!

Ps, need to make reservations soon dinner is located in the Crown Room.

I like beer but my friends are all under 21 so... Unless they sell beer to underage kids there i dont think theyll want to go to a brewery.

What you should do FOR SURE is drive up to Russian river, buy 6 different bottles of beer from that brewery and go hang out wherever drinking those beers. Theyre super good and hard to get a hold of.
