Rear light together with daylights

New member
Hi!

I'm new Golf 6 Rabbit owner and have not found such topic on this forum:

The car has daylight that are always on. Now I'd like to have also rear lights always on (but not normaln front lights) - just front daylights and rear lights ONLY.

I think it may be safer if i forget to turn on lights in the evening or in a tunnel.

Is this possible to set using software?

Thanks,
Slavko

There is a code for North American spec cars to get it working that way. You should contact Dana@Rosstech to see if the code will also work for European spec cars.

Hello,

The Mk6 (and similar VW/Audi models) use a BCM 09 module. Unlike previous models there is not a "Scandinavian" DRL coding option, instead the lighting is controlled by Byte 18 and additional information is found here:

Normally this is not an issue on the Golf but we would need to see the current vehicle configuration prior to making any recommendations. If you own VCDS post a complete Auto-Scan using a current release in this thread, or over in the VW Vortex VAG-COM sub forum where I spend more time
