Hello, first post and off to a good start ya'll think im mad right?

idea is and what i do now on the standard suspension, i would like something cheap and nasty to fill the void and maybe give me a little lift.
I was thinking instead of spending a fortune on custom shocks for the recce car i'd get some aftermarket Tiguan coilovers for a 4wd model and chuck em in with some matched spring rates.

ive seen the tiguan springs put onto the golf, but would the whole aftermarket coilover fit also? and i assume that would give the clearance im after?

I believe the first gen Tiguan stuff should fit fine. But this would also be an option.

I was considering K sport coil overs because they have the highest maximum setting of .5” lower than stock of any Mk6 coil over I could find. They also have an external reservoir version which would be useful for your purpose, but I haven’t seen any reviews on that version. Combine with the 1.5” lift block I linked above and you could have all the adjustability and performance of a coil over with a mild 1” or so lift.
