RSR Clutch Failure.... 70,000 miles

fatvdub

Passed Driver's Ed
So after a couple months of troubleshooting... replaced various shifter parts, shift cables finally found the problem. The clutch disk,
to be fair it does or had 70,000 miles on it. Stage 2+ APR with no lift shift and launch control... and I use them when needed.
Symptoms were, hard to change gears, no consistent shifting, hard to down shift into certain gears when I wanted to, felt like I had to force it.
The clutch disk is from the TTRS and this one failed... a chunk missing and lots of cracks. I did buy another RSR clutch to replace this one.

70k is pretty good for a Frankenstein kit that got driven! Good to hear! I've got about 12k on mine so far.

APR Stage 2+ is k04 right?

70k is pretty decent considering. Thanks for the info

70k miles is great on a modified car that was being launched and NLS.

I think you meant the pressure plate is from the TTRS, not the disk as it doesn't fit our input shaft.

I have just over 11k miles on my DIY TTRS in my K04 CC and it's holding up well. Your experience gives me hope it'll last a while.
