Screw behandling oil filter housing

There is à screw behind the oil filter housing. What is this screw for?

I have a oil leak and changed the sealing between oil filter house and engine. This screw was also very loose and we tighten it. Now i can see a little bit oil from or around the screw.

I think an oil filter housing is on virtually every engine manufactured...I'm not very sure anyway.
