Sunroof sound after lowering

So, used to be that at about 20mph to about 25mph, when my sunroof was totally open and all other windows were closed, I'd get a sort of wind buffeting/ warble/ air pressure fluctuation. It was mild, and only lasted between those speeds... no big deal. THEN, I lowered my golf about an inch, now it starts at 15mph and doesn't go away until like 40mph and it's INTENSE... like I thought I was going to burst an eardrum sort of intense.... INTENSE!

Anyway, I'm not trying to complain, I love my TDI, love the look and feel after lowering it, I just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced anything like this and maybe found a solution that's not too drastic

yea this annoys me as well, only trick i have found thus far is

1. crack a window (i usually crack passenger side if no one is in it)
2. i open it to last notch and dont hold it to retract fully

either way that dubstep style wind is awful

I leave my hatch open the prevent the buffering sounds.

Jokes aside, just crack your rear windows a bit - it'll help with the nasty noises you're encountering.

all right, that's what I thought... I'm sure I did change the rake of my car. I used Eibach pro-kit springs for an A3.
I'm back and forth on a deflector... I think it might look douchey. I don't have $80 to spend on something that may look bad... I live in Washington so I may just have to accept that I can't open my sunroof all the way on the 7 days a year that I want to.

Try reaching up and retracting the spring loaded deflector while you're at speed. On my new Mazda CX5, it's much quieter with it retracted. I'm going to work up a zip tie set-up to keep it from popping up...
