Hi all newbie here with a temperature gauge problem,I have an 2009 tdi mk6 golf.
Few weeks ago I noticed a drop in the cabin heat with gauge sitting at 90 then gauge increased up to the red zone when light came on so I pulled over, couldn't see any leaks ect and header tank was at correct level,thought it was the thermostat so changed that but gauge still increased upto 130 and cabin temp was only warm,I have since changed the water pump and belt and also coolant temp sensor to which the heat in the cabin is back to normal heat again but the gauge is still going through the roof,any ideas would be really appreciated.
