Go easy on me! I just bought a 2010 GTI! I'm new to h2o VW ownership, but I've owned a 72 Beetle for about 20 years and I grew up loving VW. Here to learn and glean from the longtimers.

Looks nice in that pic. Paint sure looks like its got some life in it - that pic shows plenty of gloss. I bet it would polish up beautifully.

How many miles on it?

96k on it and tensioner is good, I had it checked before purchase by a reputable shop in town. Service history is pretty solid, water pump and intake manifold were done a while back. I think I scored a pretty good deal!

Got some new pics this weekend after hand washing and doing a little wax job.

Also, yesterday I gave it a full liquimoly engine treatment with a flush, high tech 5w40, and Ceretec anti friction treatment and fuel system treatment. I put in new air and cabin filters as well. Gotta start it off right!

Congrats! On this note tho was the tensioner already replaced?
The stock tensioner on these cars can go out at any mileage and chain stretch.
Only sure fire way to know youre good is if it was replaced with an updated version.

I'll have to ask the tech. If it were an issue he would have let me know though. He looks out for the VW guys and it would have meant a job for him as well.

Raining today otherwise I’d be working on it. So I took some pictures instead.

It stopped raining! New coil packs, red because anything red is faster . New NGK VW plugs. New pcv diaphragm from RKXTech. And new wipers.

I got some Klii inlays for Christmas so I went to work on them today. Plus, I blacked out the gti script in the grill and installed a black grill emblem courtesy of @jaypoto

looks good, the wax brought out the paint.

should hit up those exhaust tips and make them shine too

Thanks. Yeah I plan to do it whenever it's time to replace the clutch so I can upgrade at the same time.
