I know that this is hardly the forum for it, but I have a serious question.

I was told today that I will be eligible soon for the vaccine since I am considered an essential worker. I am strongly leaning toward getting it. It just occurred to me though that many people are getting some side effects upon receiving the second dose. My question is this...

Is the vaccine causing the same blood clots? Is that what is responsible for the symptoms? Because my understanding is that the blood clots caused by COVID are responsible for the organ damage that results in long term effects.

I don't think blood clots are the issue. But I would encourage you to hear the stories of people who have adverse reactions.
