To sell or not to sell... that is the question #firstworldproblems

So the TDI was always supposed to be my "commuter" car. I bought it because my 2002 C5 Corvette was a terrible daily driver due to ride height/quality and only 2 seats.

Since then and a bit to my surprise I completely stopped driving the Vette, I still love the car and its the one being garaged while my TDI is sitting outside, but I find myself thinking that it may not make sense to keep this car while I drive the GOLF.

Sadly the TDI is just too slow/boring for me... but with the Mk VII on the horizon I am pretty sure I'll be getting either a GTI/R or GTD pending pricing.

So it seems like the perfect time to let go of the car that I loved for over 5 years now :(

I can use the money to pay off the golf completely and get rid of car insurance and registration... which would amount to about $500 a month... which is nothing to sneeze at considering I am only driving it about 1500 miles a year.

I am just having a tough time letting go since the Vette is perfect to me… the right color combo, CCW wheels, exhaust mods etc.

Any suggestions?! Should I do it?! Or will I hate myself

DAMNNNNNN don't ever sell that...

:( I know its frustrating...

I changed so many things about the car to my liking:
Aftermarket Sub (hidden)
Short Throw shifter
Borla Exhaust
Vararam Intake
LED tails
HIDs
Car also has the Z06 sway bars/shocks and is slightly lowered.

you will hate yourself. i think about it everyday when i go home and i see my 71' Nova with spider webs coming from the body to the blacktop. my dad had a 69' Camaro he sold 17 years ago and everytime it comes up he gets so mad at himself for selling it. DONT DO IT.

I see you like how nice your vette is and you don't like the golf a lot because it is slow.
sell both cars and buy a brand new sport car, like audi RS3 or RS5...

Definitely don't sell the Corvette. There is obviously some love there that can't be replaced.

Don't sell it. Try to get a better insurance rate since you only drive it 1500 miles a year. I still hate myself for selling my 1990 964 Carrera...
Just my 0.02

Well its $50 a month... cheaper than my golf at $60 a month. But money is money.

Sell it!
Makes no sense keeping a car that your not driving and on that note it makes no sense paying off your tdi unless you have a high interest rate.
Pacing yourself for your next car makes more sense logically and (to a certain degree) economically

Well I am a car guy at heart... and driving the slowest golf in the lineup kind of kills me on the inside. :D

Rate is 2.99 but investing into the stock market makes no sense at the moment... it seems "Too damn high"
