So the TDI was always supposed to be my "commuter" car. I bought it because my 2002 C5 Corvette was a terrible daily driver due to ride height/quality and only 2 seats.
Since then and a bit to my surprise I completely stopped driving the Vette, I still love the car and its the one being garaged while my TDI is sitting outside, but I find myself thinking that it may not make sense to keep this car while I drive the GOLF.
Sadly the TDI is just too slow/boring for me... but with the Mk VII on the horizon I am pretty sure I'll be getting either a GTI/R or GTD pending pricing.
So it seems like the perfect time to let go of the car that I loved for over 5 years now
I can use the money to pay off the golf completely and get rid of car insurance and registration... which would amount to about $500 a month... which is nothing to sneeze at considering I am only driving it about 1500 miles a year.
I am just having a tough time letting go since the Vette is perfect to me… the right color combo, CCW wheels, exhaust mods etc.
Any suggestions?! Should I do it?! Or will I hate myself
