Using steering wheel controls while playing over the aux

Hello,

I have a 2012 golf mk6 with an rdc 510 head unit and a fiscon bluetooth module. I'd like to control the songs on my phone/tablet via the steering wheel buttons but for that I have to enable a2dp which has really bad sound quality. I'm fine with playing audio over the aux but I'd still like to control my phone with steering wheel buttons. I was thinking about either buying a bluetooth odb2 reader (if it's possible to read the steering wheel button being pressed) or adding a stalk adaptor and then wiring a separate bluetooth module and connect my phone via that.

Has anybody tried anything like that for their golf (besides buying an expensive bluetooth module such as 9w2/3)?

Yes I'm talking about the 1/8'' (3.5mm) headphone jack. Basically I connect my phone via the headphone jack but I want to control the next song via the steering wheel buttons, but the only way to do that is to actually play the audio over bluetooth (but the a2dp quality sucks, that is why I'm using the headphone jack).

Can't help really. Headphone jacks are for sound only, with no "info" transmitted, as it appears you understand already.
