What did you do to your MK6 2.5 today?

Is there a version with nav? My wagen has the RNS-315 and I like the features of the newer unit, but wouldn't want to loose nav.
My neighbor sold his old VW Radio that needed a map update, to finance getting a new radio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto

At 170,000km my resonator was see through in spots and I had a few decent sized holes in my suitcase. Fortunately my mid muffler is primo. Deleted the resonator and the suitcase. Installed a Magnaflow dual-tip to keep the aesthetic.

Got my work done in Markham, ON for all you GTA folks. Went to "L&G Auto". Couldn't have been happier with the entire process and the quality of work. Mike's the guy that did all of the work and had me under the car and made sure I was satisfied with the placement of the Magnaflow tip .
The car was getting pretty noisy with the swiss cheese rez, and the holes in the suitcase. Now the sound is clean with a lot of character and great body throughout the range without drone. Went through a tunnel on the way home and I think I smiled for about 10 minutes after.

^^Car looks great and someone’s going to get a clean/slick looking car. Weird seeing a stock air box and engine cover lol

I haven’t done a video. I don’t think I could bring myself to do one of those YouTube vids where the guy leans his phone against something and walks over, hops in, and starts the car ?

Cold start at -20c was fine today. It sounds like Metallica ?now....sounded like Nickleback before

The tone is rich, it has a personality now, doesn’t drone...pretty much Chewbacca covering Pavarotti

We should do a GTA’ish 2.5 meet up this spring

Great idea Ben (y), the Golf spends alot of time in Guelph now but we'll try to bring her out.

That's right...the young lad is in school. I have some LED reverse bulbs for ya if you want as well Mark. They double shipped the order last year for some reason without charging me.

Finally got around to installing the carbon/plastic rear hatch spoiler extension. I find the spoiler on these MK6(non GTi/R....so like 17 forum memebers lol) cars very anemic. I've had this for over a year...looks fine enough, but, the fitment strategy with a few cheap strips of pencil thin 3M didn't inspire confidence, and I honestly would have expected it to blow off. I ended up bringing it to a detailer/wrap specialist and he showed me what he'd done to get a similar extension on his Stinger and the much more industrial 3M adhesive that he used. Done...not coming off....no biggie..8.5 year old car....looks a lot cleaner with the extension IMO....the lines are evened out in the rear.

Thanks Ben, we'll see you in the spring.

BTW the spoiler extension looks great.

Nice nice, mine hasn't fallen off after 2 years, I only used the 3m outdoor mounting tapes.
