What did you do to your MK6 today?

Took it for a good drive-around today to rack up a few good highway miles, in preparation for pre-storage things.
When i got home i had some daylight left so i fixed a nagging issue with my drivers window switch. it seems that when i replace the malfunctioning one with the one from China/AliExpress, I had broken a small mounting related part where the switch mounts. So i at least have a part number to replace come springtime, and it happens that i wanted to replace this anyway. in the meantime i have some 3M tape holding the switch in place on the inside of where it mounts, which seems like the best thing to have in place right now after failing to find an adequate item to edge in there to achieve the same end.

Started on my 2012 timing chain project. It was good to see the new revision tensioner is in there.
It is extended a few notches and block 93 is reading -3.6. Not quite to needing a replacement but I'm going to replace it anyway since the car is at 117k and I don't want issues. Plus I've never done a timing chain and want the experience.

keep your oil levels topped up and check the block 093 often, but you should be able to kick the can down the road a while longer.

I have one just like this on passenger door. Annoying. Pdr seems like a good idea but not sure itll work at this point

I caught a small piece of lumber that got kicked up from someone's tire a while back... dinged the front edge of the hood above the drivers headlight and tagged the fender near the top edge as well. Now I have two creases
