there was a bit of a lip to get in so used them to help ease into the unit since I'm a little low. And since my parking brake doesn't work they're serving double duty to chock the wheels a little bit

They're cool with it. They have rules about not using the space to work on cars but I'll be tinkering in feb/march to test the limits.

Just got the temporary registration for my car for 20 days, hoping that's enough time to get it running and through emissions or i'll be back at the dmv to spend some more money. People at the shop got sick over the weekend so they're taking off yesterday and today, sent them a message though so should know if the car will still be done this week. At that point i'm just waiting on the base tune from stratified, but i'll still be able to get all the fluids in and verify I have cranking oil pressure along with no obvious leaks

Edit: Talked to the shop and i'm picking up the car friday. Gonna call stratified today and see if I can get them to try and expedite my base tune. If they can i'll hopefully be driving saturday

I've recently discovered that my HVAC fan speed increases when I reverse... Like when I back into a parking spot. Shortly after I stop and park, the fan returns to normal speed. Is this a feature or a fault?

Sounds like a glitch. Maybe disconnect the battery, wait 10 min, reset everything.

Could just be power draw. You know when you turn on a hair dryer and you see the lights dim? Maybe you're turning off a system when you reverse and it sends more power to the HVAC. Could very well be wrong

I investigated more (tried multiple scenarios) and it seems like what is happening is the recirculate function is being activated when moving in reverse... It's not immediate, like it won't happen when I put it in R (I have a stick if that matters), but only after I actually start moving backwards. It makes the same sounds as turning on the recirculate function and the air speeds up just a bit. Then it goes back a handful of seconds after I stop moving backwards. Very strange.

Pickup date got bumped a day to Saturday due to some of the shop members being sick. Doesn't make much of a difference for me though since I don't think i'll have the tune by then anyways, definitely shoulda ordered that a few weeks ago . They just finished up the dump pipe for the wastegate, i'm sure people will love me for that one

My clutch pedal was getting sticky yesterday on the way to work. Would stick halfway then pop up. Also engagement point seemed lower. Found a leak behind the pedal. So now I'm doing a master cylinder. Just waiting for the new part to arrive.

It sure sounds like it. The air sound increases even when the dial is on max already, and I can hear the slight mechanical sounds of the flaps (I'm assuming). The light on the recirculate button does not come on though...
