What did you do to your MK6 today?

Ready to race!
On Friday I replaced my rear left wheel bearing. So that's it now I've replaced all 4 of my wheel bearings and I must say the car is much quieter now. I replaced the bearings just because 100,000 + miles and I had the wheels off, hubs apart, etc, etc. I'm OCD like that. I'm glad I did it though.
I've got 4 new ones waiting to go on. Hopefully soon

I added a vibrant bottle resonator to my exhaust to cut down on drone around 3-4K RPM. Put it a little more upstream and I'll drive tomorrow to see how it helps.

Replaced my broken vent on the center console. Wasn't too bad. Hardest part was just putting the cover back on without the vents popping out of position.

Yesterday I met up with another forum member who gave me their old AC kit. I'll probably do that before the turbo, but I might do them at the same time for the extra clearance. Thanks @smanierre

Replaced my door speakers today. Really wasn't bad, the only casualty of the whole job was one plastic door pin. Unfortunately it sounds like that only partially fixed the blown out audio, I think my tweeters are gonzo. Time to hit up a junkyard, I guess!

They're $25 speakers; they sound okay, not great--better than stock, for sure. They're only meant to replace blown ones on my extremely tight budget. I'd love to do a full audio upgrade, but $60 for everything was already more than I wanted to spend.

I was planning to rivet it back in but I didn't feel like going to buy a rivet gun, and the speakers came with usable hardware. All I had to do was grind slots into the door (don't mind the fact it looks like shit) to slip these cheap clips on (only one stripped out). Silicone baffle and an adapter off amazon. Drilled a hole to run the adapter neatly.

Put a new radiator fan, the smaller one, and an O2 spacer to hopefully be enough for the code it's throwing

Been a while since i've updated here. Had some oil seeping past my oil pan gasket for the last few months. I think it was a combination of the new oil pan having a thicker lip, which caused some of the screws to strip out when torquing, and the catch can not pulling enough pressure from the crank case. I got some longer bolts and torqued them to spec and also swapped out the 034 catch can with the stock PCV. Only driven about 100 miles so far but no signs of leaking yet and the car is driving great

Hey Cole, was there a door speaker replacement guide you followed? I feel like I've seen one floating around here but having a hard time finding it.

I used this guide for removing the panel. It's pretty much surface level complexity, however this guide doesn't talk much about the speakers themselves, and the rivets are the hardest part about the job. Mine melted through the plastic speaker frame and made a small mess of the door, but even if you destroy the holes in the door you can drill new ones by just rotating the speaker a couple degrees.

There was another guide on the r/GolfGTI subreddit that I used, and is more helpful with the speaker part. I disregarded the mounting instructions for budgetary reasons, but the advice to buy silicone baffles was top notch. I bought these adapters, and they needed no modification on my 2011 doors, YMMV.

I bought the SPULEN block for my mk6 GTI, will be picking it up at the store soon, should solve my clutch pedal sticking half way during cold start.

and its been installed. Looks off from a certain angle...looks like the block touches the trans from one side. New clutch loading...

Mine isn't perfectly straight either, it shouldn't be an issue
