I can't speak to its importance and am literally dealing with the installation of a new intake manifold right now (just awaiting the arrival of some ancillary parts). From the ECS Tuning product page: "Along with the updated intake manifold, VW added a third air supply line to the manifold flap valve unit. This required a new "fresh air" line to be installed with your new manifold, and this air should be filtered to avoid damage from foreign particles. The hose included in this kit connects to the top side of the valve and prevents dirt and debris from contaminating the valve. It bolts to the cylinder head between coils #2 and #3 with the included bolt." I admittedly do not know what makes the hose "required", especially since my car has been running very well for 14 years without it. For what it's worth, this site provides insight as to how the hose is routed. Also idk what this is but it came with my new intake manifold. Is it important?
what do you guys think about running these SS clutch lines? The engagement point is basically a factor of which pressure plate you have and how worn the disc is. Bleeder and ss lines don't matter.
And yeah @Cole2999 that clutch is going to barely slip at all making low speeds and reverse harder to drive but you'll learn. I find that blipping the throttle and letting the clutch out a little to get rolling, then clutch in and just roll from the momentum in reverse works best to avoid bucking. #racecar
no, not from what I can see, I have yet to check the brake fluid reservoir, I will check tonight after I'm done work.It needs to be bled out. Are you loosing fluid?
ya I'm going to bleed the clutch soon, and ask for help.Bleeding the clutch literally takes 5/10 min, super easy, just need another pair of legs.
I have SS clutch line and it's sweet. Don't think upgrading it will fix your issue though.
Idk which one I have since it was from the previous owner. Works perfectly fine.ya I'm going to bleed the clutch soon, and ask for help.
OK, nice! any issues with the SS clutch line? how long have you had it for? ya I'll fix the clutch pedal issue FIRST before upgrading lines.
I'm going to get this: https://www.parkautomotorsports.ca/products/usp-stainless-steel-clutch-line-5-or-6-speed-for-audi-vw
no air came out, only fluid, I will see what happens to the clutch pedal when left parked for more than 24 hours. Buying SS clutch lines. It needs to be bled out. Are you loosing fluid?
it was replaced with the clutch, the master cylinder was also replaced prior to the TOB/slave-cylinder(same-thing) and the clutch.Throwout bearing?
