Car's at the dealership today due to leaking water pump.

Just got the call that the leak is because my valve cover gasket was leaking oil, causing the pump gasket to swell.

Yeah, I've read that. I was hoping to avoid a big bill but such is life, I suppose. At least it's getting done, also gonna do the intake valves (they don't walnut tho ), and then they'll try and warranty claim the water pump.

Fortunately when mine failed it leaked over the back side of the engine. I let it go for about 40,000 miles before I had it fixed, it didn't lose enough oil for it to be a bother.

Sigh. Day 44 of waiting for Tyrolsport to warranty my radiator. Canceled 3 track events so far because of them, probably have to cancel the one I have planned on the 18th too unless some magic happens and it shows up in the next few days.
