i had a sweet 1992 camry, passed down from my dad when he upgraded to my mom's 2002 camry when she bought a 2008 camry! those were the days... but now i have found true love in my 2.5L golf!
by the way, this picture ended up in my high school yearbook.
My friend has the exact same car, I drive in it almost everyday. It's built like a tank!

no it was the aero trim so it had the 2.0T turbo flat four

'84 Mark I, black. i still miss it. My mechanic put it to sleep, his guys told him it would be "immoral" to fix it due to all the rust. I'll have to write a piece on the differences between the 2 cars. The Mark VI is sooooooo sophisticated, but not nearly as fun to drive. i can hardly hear the damn engine!! i'll have to post pictures of the 2 cars, sitting in my driveway like grandpa and grandson. Damn i miss that car!
The first car I bought on my own after graduating was a '99 A4 1.8T. Chipped that sucker with APR and broke my cherry with car molding and it has been downhill as far as spending way to much $$ on cars since then. It will soon come full circle since I once again have a VAG car that will also be chipped with APR, as soon as they crack encryption on the 2011 ECU that is.
2011 GTI is my newest baby, but I've also been the fortunate owner of the following:

I really love/hate to hear stories like this. Glad to see that some one else can see a car for more than sheet metal plastic and rubber. I can only imagine the memories. Way to drive one until it died. :w00t: I hope you're new car experience is just as pleasurable.
