What's your driving position?

I see some sitting so relax that the driver gets blocked by the B-pillar and there are those that sit so close to the steering wheel that it looked like they were hugging it.

So, I'm curious how MK6 owners set their seat in the car

I sit pretty far from the steering wheel because i'm tall (6'4") with the back pretty upright. I rarely get my vision blocked by the pillar.

I sit so that my elbows are slightly bend when both hands are on the wheel, and the back rest is on a slight angle. No visibility problems.

Back rest is on a slight angle. Distance to the steering wheel is when my arms are stretched, I can still comfortably reach the top part with my wrists.

Steering wheel in the full out position with a slight bend in my elbows when holding the wheel.
I have the seatback setup so that my head always rests on the headrest without tilting my neck forward or backwards. Lower seat is about half way up.

I sit such that my hands dangle over the top of the steering wheel with my arms out stretched, so there is a bend when holding the wheel at 9&3. wheel is all the way out and all the way up.
Belly and chest are 18" from the airbag, seat is almost all the way back 3 notches from the furthest back position, feet are on the petals and all the way down with my legs ~80% extended.

Typically when driving my arms are on the armrest and the drivers door. when really driving they are at my sides.
seat is up almost straight, my head is comfortably near the head rest, but not touching all the time, most cars I want 3-5" between my head and the head rest, but in my golf it is about an inch.

If you're short, you're gonna feel shorter with a 2 door GTI

If you're short, and you get a 4 door GTI it feels perfect.

1. I sit with the seat set all the way to the lowest position. with my butt tucked in at the connection of the thigh seat/back seat.

2.Seat far enough forward for me to reach the clutch pedal and depressed with left foot with a slight bend in my knees at the depressed position. If driving DSG, I do the same thing except done with the Brake pedal and with my Right foot instead of Left.

I noticed I can sit much further back with the driving seat if I use DSG *instead of Manual. This is possibly due to the fact that the brake pedal doesn't hit the floor as the Clutch pedal does.

3. After I've got my butt tucked in with Your thighs/back touching the seat at all possible contact points (this allows the most information sent from the car to your body), I adjust steerin wheel reach. I set the steering wheel ALL the way OUT and DOWN. Once this is done, I set the INCLINE/RECLINE to adjust to the point where I can put my arm straight out and my wrist can rest on the 12 o clock position of the steering wheel without my back leaving the back rest of the seat.

this is the perfect driving position as long as you're not in a NASCAR or F1 car.

I sit pretty far forward and my knee bumps against the center console. I'm 6'0", but apparently I have short legs or something because I can't get too far back or I can't fully depress the clutch in comfort.
