Clearing the code just removes the 'soft code' from the ECU. It's still there, and it won't do anything to fix the problem, unfortunately.

Fake ones won't weigh too much more. The wheels will be stamped BBS - that's the only way to know for sure. What's the offset of the wheels? That's going to determine whether they fit or not.
