I got the same kit a year or two ago. The cleaner is good, but both polishes seem to do little to the scratches. I got some glaze and will apply it soon when I get the time.

I can't imagine how they managed to do that. The part is replaceable and I don't think it's that expensive. Go confront the tint place about it, because this isn't a common occurrence.

This stuff is for trim, not for clear or glossy surfaces. It is meant to absorb into the surface, and will just run off of glossy surfaces.
