I've run 6+ year old APR tunes, stage 1 and K04 cars, really happy with both of them. The K04 car makes cool crackles off throttle but not crazy like the mk7 cars. I can't speak to the newer tunes...

Save yourself the trouble and just get rid of the can. It's more trouble than it's worth IMO. 150k, stock pcv, no carbon clean ever, running STRONG.

You can block off half the radiator by sliding a piece of cardboard in there. I've had to do that in extreme cold. Easily reversible in warm weather.

I don't see anything in your mods that aren't street legal. I also wouldn't bother parting out. You can expect pricing of a similar stock car, but the mods don't lower the value. K04 is a big plus...
