The AD pump may be from 09 if I recall, may want to avoid that one as they had ABS issues. I would check ebay.

I have not heard of a solution for the BG pump yet. If you have $100 and some tools, you could buy a different unit and swap it out.

I can only say great things about K04...my car has been super fast and very reliable for 150,000 miles. That said, I'm also looking at the mk7 R and S4. I would keep my GTI though, trade in value...

Sounds like you got a good deal on the car. Assuming it's fixed properly, you should be able to drive it for many more years. You'll be hard pressed to find a better car for the money.

You got new wheels and tires when 2 were bent...that's probably why the shimmy is gone. I torque my lugs every time and still have a vibration issue.
