Unless its running very rough when it does eventually start - it won't be the chain. Skipping a single tooth will result in it running like a bag of spanners. more than one tooth and there will be valve/piston damage.

More likely causes:

-Immobiliser issues
-Camshaft position sensor (wiring or sensor)
-Crankshaft position sensor (wiring or sensor)
-High pressure fuel pump / follower
-Low pressure fuel pump
-Fuel filter

If you haven't done so already, try using your spare key.
