So I am pretty much over the plain ugly stock lighting. I have the basic US stock headlights on my mk6.

My plan is as follows:
-multi color for the Daytime Running Lights
-Pure blue low beams
-bright white high beams
-Pure purple fog lights

Now I've heard you need bulb holders or something to change the lights in these cars. Sounds complex so I would like some insight on this so it could be less complex for me!

As for the multi color DRL, ive had someone in my area INSTALL THESE and they looked extremely nice and flush so i would like to go this route for that. My question for these are would they require anything else to install?

As far as the other lights, any links for the bulb holders and whatever else is needed for install would be extremely helpful.

NOTE: I am looking for a pure purple color for the fogs, i know its hard to find, for me at least, i seem to find them all with a white tint or very light almost pinkish purple =(

If ur going to go full rainbow get that unicorn decal on the rear panel! Haha sorry I couldn't help but bust ur chops. It's ur car do as you please. I'd imagine you'd want to get aftermarket led headlights with drls and just replace the bulbs with ones from somewhere like superbrightled.com I'd also look at deautokey for any fog light kits

haha no i feel you, i just like the option of having whatever color at my disposal for DRL. Purples also my favorite color and it goes well with blue which is a typical low beam color so decided to go with that combo.

Thanks for suggesting our company Boscogn.

We see it a lot - people ask us for 8-10k lighting and then go somewhere else because we only offer clean white 5k/5500k - most of the time after they try the 8/10k setup they come to us because visibility is terrible with these higher color temperatures and it attracts unwanted attention since they do not look legal and are not in many states.

We feel our 5k/5500k give you the most visibility while removing that terrible yellow halogen color temp.

Do you have xenon housing or halogen/reflector housing?
