Weird noise while cornering

this afternoon I noticed a weird, almost grinding noise on my left front tire while on a banked entrance ramp for I-95... I was going kind of fast, but not feeling any slide... could this be the traction control or the electronic differential or something totally different that I should worry about? it sounded like the tire rubbing the wheel well, and stopped when I let off the gas. Any advice would be appreciated.

DSG transmission if that helps.

Mine did that a couple of times when I didn't think i was going all that fast. My guess is that it is the traction control or electronic diferential...but I don't really know.

I would pull the wheel and check for tire rub. could be the fender liner rubbing on the tire or something.
