DSG Shift-Knob different between TDI/GTI? TDI owners, please advise!

I've seen two different DSG Shifters. I'm probably going to get the TDI, but I'm confused about what shifter the TDI's come with.

Anyone with a TDI please chime in!

SO far I can't find that in any 2010 vehicle. The bottom one. I saw gas & tdi interior on the website and both have the top pic.

The bottom one is a picture of an MkV GTI. The TDI looks like the picture on top.

From what I've seen at the dealerships and so on the streets, only the GTI, GTD, and R come with the rounded shifter (bottom) whilst all other models come with the top shifter.

Bummer!

So the GTI/GTD/R20 get the COOL shifter. That makes sense.

But I am still curious, It looks like everything else is the same. How hard would it be to buy the Sportier DSG knob and swap it into a TDI?

I would have liked to have seen that shifter in the manual.
Obviously without the detent button.
It is one sharp looking knob!!!!!
