Now that I'm back at my brothers, I guess I'm gonna plasti-dip my engine cover. Why not? Looks better all black. I would like to incorporate some white and I'd like the 'TSI' to read red.

Great progress in so little time. Must be a record :

I just hit 1000 miles and may create a similar thread.

Mind sharing where you purchased your screen protector for your head unit?

Thanks! I also just purchased a rear wiper plug for a delete as well as DEPO LED tail lights.

I ordered the screen protector from Bold-Sport, however ironically enough I got an email from them saying they're sold out of them. They're going to issue me a refund.

Make a build thread man. I really like it for my own personal logging. It's interesting to see the progress as times goes by.

Just plasti-dipped my front grille stripes. Like the look much better. Some complain because the red signifies "GTI heritage", but I feel this is a much cleaner look.

Damn your car is coming along nicely. Dropping lots of cash on it - and without a tune!! Get on that whilst the sales are on.
Also, I know you are after the LED tailights. That's #1. Get on that too!! edit: I see you said you ordered it. Good man.
Will be following this. 👍

I'm increasing thinking of removing my front license plate but don't want much hassle. Maybe it will be worth it.

Thanks man!

Some of these parts are being swapped over from my Golf 2.5 that I had before this.

I know I want a tune so badly. It was very tempting at the AU Tuning open house last weekend. I'll definitely have one before the year is over.

I still only have not even 1,500 miles on so I'm doing more cosmetic stuff for now.

But yes tune will come, eventually.

I like the look of no license plate. Honestly, only reason I don't have one is because I still have dealer plates. If I'm forced to have up front, i'll get a two hook mount.

Here are a few crappy iPhone photos I took the other day (before blacking out my stripes).

Here's a picture of the side markers. I got a sheet of vinyl sent over from Klii Motorwerkes. Tried it on my side markers and while the match is perfect (as expected), it's close enough for me. From a decent distance you can't tell. For me it just took the ugly orange away.

I notice you're from California! Is the Unitronic intake CARB legal? If so, then this is something I'd definitely like to look into, because it looks sweet!

I don't believe it's CARB legal. I think Nuespeed's P-Flo is the only CARB legal intake. I do love it, though.

That makes me sad. :< I know of Neuspeed's, but I don't like the look of just a "stage 1" intake. I hadn't come across Unitronic's until your thread, and it looks and sounds awesome. *Sigh* Well, I'm glad you're enjoying yours.

You could mate the Neuspeed with a stage 2 Carbonio pipe?

Or just get a Unitronic it really is awesome. I'd recommend it to anyone.
