I still think the mk1 is the best looking myself but each to there own. One of the reasons i think this is prob because it was not designed by a boardroom at VW but by a proper designer in a design house. I may also be biased on this as i own one (and have done since the late 80s) exactly the same as the one in the photos above lol.

The MK1 still looks pretty damn good even by todays standards but personally I would love to have an MK5 one right now

Im a real sad barstuard GTI fan sitting here and look at this article above and spotting many of the mistakes they made in the rebuild of the mk1 photo'ed and even a couple with the other cars. Damb VW bring the mk6 GTI out allready your driving me crazy here im going nuts.
