Sh!t i fucked up my first link.

Denvers are like 24 - the NEW Detroits that we get on the Mk6 (and 2008.5 Mk5) are lighter than the original Huffs

Either way - I would be curious exactly as to the weight on these.

The link you provided seems to be speculation based on who manufactured the wheel. Below is a quote from somebody who weighed the Denver and Detroit (with and without the tire):

Here are some OEM wheel weights I've been able to get lately by swapping so many wheels:

18x8 Karthoum ET50 w/225 40 18 RE050A Tires & Rubber Valve Stems = 48.4 lbs
18x7.5 Detroit ET51 w/225 40 18 RE050A Tires & Rubber Valve Stems = 52 lbs
17x7.5 Denver ET51 w/225 45 17 Continental Tires & TPMS = 47.4 lbs
17x7.5 Goal ET50 w/225 45 17 Continental Tires & Rubber Valve Stems = 45.0 lbs
15x6 OEM Steel w/195 65 15 Continental Tires & TPMS = 34.2 lbs

18x8 5x112 50ET Karthoum w/center cap & rubber valve stem = 25.6 lbs
17x7.5 Goal w/center cap & rubber valve stem = 22.6 lbs
17x7.5 Denver w/center cap & TPMS = 25.3 lbs
18x7.5 Detroit w/center cap & rubber valve stem = 29.4 lbs

Going with a lighter (sub 20 pound) wheel should save over 40 pounds of unsprung weight. To those that don't know the tremendous benefits of reducing unsprung weight:

We don't have weights yet since we haven't received them at our warehouse, but we'll weigh them out as soon as they arrive!
