The 42 Draft Designs kit modifies the side-to-sider shifter bracket so the plastic C clip is no longer need.

Didn't know that

I thought it was only the bushings?
They don't show any pics of the side to side piece

you have to modify it a bit with a dremel and a drill

It's optional. You don't have to do the entire bracket or side to side bushings from what I'm reading. There is a DIY out there, but the install involves drilling out a hole to make it larger, and also trimming two pivot points (I think that's what it's called). not sure I'm going to do all of that. We will see.
