Reading up on the MKVII that is going to be rolling out later this year in Europe. Besides being a little lighter, lower and wider the bumps in hp are supposedly as follows:

GTI = 217hp
Golf R = 290hp

and here is one to really drool over

Golf RS = 365hp (2.5l 5 cyllinder as currently seen in the TTRS with a 30 hp bump).

The bump in hp for the GTI is a bit dissappointing, the R finally gets it to were it should be and the RS would be awesome.

$5 says the RS never makes it to North America sadly.

It will have a larger increase in torque, since the new motor will have the same variable valve lift technology that is used on some Audi 2.0T models, like the regular TT and the A4.

and those tend to gain less from tunes, right? They should probably stop with all the RS concepts if they don't actually plan on releasing any. And fire the idiot who thought the v8 was a great choice for the new rs4.

If the RS makes it here and that's a big if it will most likily be towards the of the model cycle. It could be 4 or 5 years before it hits our shores.
