Thanks for asking, let us clear that up.

In the MK5 they are festoon bulbs, they are great light, lumen output and work great, those are @ the $17 price point. In the MK6, these festoons will not work, instead you get a complete housing with resistors, so you will need to replace your entire housing with ours, that is where the price comes in, and the MK6 license plate housing by themselves are $44.99. So if you buy the license plate in the combo set with our interior LED kit it is only $95 which is a big discount instead of buying them separately. We did that because we have a lot of people who purchase the interior set and the license plate at the same time, so we went ahead and lowered the price.

Very impressed with my deautokey led's! Nicely packaged and what look to be very high quality led's. I've been through 2 different sets now and these look alot better as far as led quality and layout/direction goes. As promised, the footwells have zero spotting! At last!!! Much brighter footwells now also as a by product of the better led layouts.

Time will tell if the units hold up or if they start faltering. But so far I'm very happy.

Here's a little side by side of how much brighter the deautokey led's are than my previous 8 month old led's were.



And here's a pic of what shoddy led units do after only 8 months. This happened to 3 of the units in a set I bought from another seller:
