So I ask him, "Who is over right now?"

His response, "I'm finishing up my chores."

So I repeat, "Who is over right now? Or who was over ~5 minutes ago?"

...long delay...

"Avery."

Did I mention there is also a very clear "No girls allowed over unless Mom or I are home" rule?

The tech is a 2-edged sword.

Sadly, he, as the kid, has better tech than we do, as adults.

Snapchat, etc. make it hard to replay or review his past conversations, etc. And with all the other anon chat apps out there, etc. it makes it hard to police.

I'm considering going back to running an old Linux box as a router. At least then I can monitor all the traffic, and identify/block sites and connections per device. I'd love to be able to block calls to, say, Snapchat's or Kik's API, but only on his device. Or only on "unknown" (aka his friends) devices. Etc. And here at work, we have a whole team dedicated to identifying "bad" sites around the web (Porn, Warez, etc.) and I can pretty easily pull their "list" and keep my home list updated. Right now I'm just at the liberty of whatever Comcast deems inappropriate (and it's not a transparent list.)

For now I have to rely heavily on my own inferential skills, and letting him bust himself. He doesn't know how far into the web traffic I can see... but he, right now, *assumes* I can see it all. I only need to ask probing questions and pretend like I know what he's done for him to out himself.

The busting above is also just more evidence to the suspicion theory we've had about him. Wife and I have been getting fairly regular texts from him since school re-started about, "What time are you going to be home?" or "Dad are you working from home today?" all sent about the time he'd be getting ready to get ON the bus to leave school.

My wife and I ask, "Why does it matter?" Well....... I think we know why....

Poor kids palms are probably full of blisters.

Good lord what an awkward age. Couldn't pay me enough to be 14 again. Do not miss the blistered hands at all.

dbunny came through with the win with 51 people to go after i got taken out

I really dislike ghillie suits cause of pubg :laugh:

Might have to try the tablet version of game, probably easier to see enemies too
