Wessley's 2012 GTI Autobahn Build Thread

My car is a 2012 GTI Autobahn with a manual. I have had 2 Infinitis prior, a 2005 G35 coupe and a 2011 G37s sedan. This is my first Euro car, my first FI car, and my first FWD car. This probably one of the only fwd cars I would ever buy but I digress. I have already started working on and buying parts for the car when I have only had it 2 months. Let's get started!

Looks fantastic man. One questions, did you actually open the headlight up to get the demon eyes in the projector??

I did cut open the head lights which was a pain in the a$$. I do have a wireless remote to turn the lights on and off. They also change colors but I normally don't drive with them on just for show and my enjoyment.

I love these wheels! The fitment was right where I wanted it and they're not reps ?. I have only seen one other guy on the internet run these on a MK6.

Autocross

So I recently did my first autocross event. Had the time of my life and definitely will be doing it again in the future. It was pretty hard with my clutch being absolutely F***ed. Stage 2 was too much for OEM clutch after 2nd gear so there was some missed potential. Despite the clutch I did surprisingly well for my first event. I started at the bottom and made my way all the way up to middle of the pack which is fine with me since there were track spec cars pushing 700+hp.

A lot has happened since I started this build thread (that I haven’t been updating). The car is so much fun to drive and as of last week is now tuned for an E30 blend. It’s pretty quick now. I recently beat my friend’s 370z nismo and to me that is a pretty big accomplishment for a front wheel drive 4-Cyl econo-box lol. Here’s a list of the new parts I have added since or at least what I can remember.
