Look exactly like the Mk5 Edition 30 alloys to me, i would say they are simply the wheels of the test mule to try and fool the press and nothing more.

Arn't ED30 rims just normal GTI ones, but Black with silver lips?

Yes they are. Sorry i missread your post the first time. Ed30 wheels have two options. Theres the black ones of the monza/detroit 18" (also made by BBS) of the mk5GTI and these ones. The uk market got these BBS multispoke as standard and they were an option in the rest of Europe.

I think the front is a cross between two concept cars the golf RaVe270 and the scirocco RT24 myself.;) if you look at both those cars im sure you will get a good idea of what it looks like.
