Microfiber Towel Group Buy

Hey Vancouver guys, I'm setting up a towel group buy with the Mk5 guys.

Basically, I'm ordering them in bulk from Detailer's Domain and taking advantage of the huge (40% - 50%) discount from their regular prices. Free shipping to Point Roberts, as well, so that helps too.

So the question is which towels do you want? I think most people want at least some of the glass towels, but for the other kind - do you prefer the regular "all-purpose" towel, or do you want the "super plush" towel? Or even the "classic all-purpose" towel? I want to get at least glass towels and something else, so that we can take advantage of the free shipping for over $150. If you see anything else you like on the website, let me know and we can probably include it in the shipment as well.

There are 50 towels in the pack for the all-purpose ones - I'm hoping to split them either 5 ways or 10 ways, if we can find 10 guys... The super plush have 25 in a pack. The glass towels come in a 10 pack. Or if you guys want odd numbers we can try and figure out who gets how many.

Here's a cost breakdown per towel (in USD):

Glass Towel
- 2.50 each
Super Plush Towel - 4.2 each
All-Purpose - 2.5 each
Classic All-Purpose - 3 each.

Thanks for offering this group buy but I'll pass on this opportunity. Canadian Tire had a sale on Microfiber towels a couple of weeks ago and I got a bunch of them :D that will last me for a while.

I'm in for some towels for sure  I'll send you a pm with a list a little later today... I may end up ordering a box myself.

There is a suprisingly big difference in the quality of microfibre out there. Detailing specialists like Detailers Domain, Adams Polishes etc sell top of the line cloths that are far better and softer than the stuff you get at Canadian Tire. The very second you pick one of these towels up you will feel the difference and forget about the extra cost if there is any. Personally I only use the canadian tire towels on glass or wheels.

That is very true. I get mine from Eshine (like to support local business) but those are some decent prices.

I will want to see a sample when your orders come in and find out how much better it is. This is the first time I am using microfiber towels to wash my car so I don't know any better. So far, my microfiber towels are doing their job quite well (no hairline scratches).

There is by no means anything wrong with the CT towels, they do the trick for most people and wont scratch your paint or anything like that. But if you really enjoy car detailing and want the best - this is the way to go. The microfibre is much plusher and absorbs more wax so it takes fewer towels to complete the car. They also have easily removeable tags, completely protected corners, last longer, etc etc.

If you did a blindfolded test by feel alone you would pick these over the CT every time and when buying in bulk at the discounts we are seeing here the towels are cheaper than the ones at Canadian Tire anyways. Absolute no-brainer for me.

If you only use these to remove wax\polish - go with the super plush!

Roastpuff: List coming shortly

1 x Uber Boars Hair Wheel Brush @ $24.95

Total: $91.94

How's the response so far and when do you plan on placing the order?

Got your order, and I want to get it out by the end of this week or by the start of the next.

We've got most of the Super Plush towels gone, and the Glass towels as well, but we still have a surplus of 20 Classic All-Purpose towels.

I will be ordering 1 pack each of the Glass, Super Plush and Classic All-Purpose, since the regular All-Purpose towels don't seem to be getting much love.
