Why are my 1st to 2nd gear shifts so jerky?

Shifts from first to second feel super jerky on my mk7 R. I have no idea why. I cam from a MK6 tdi that I drove hard and never had this issue. It feels like the transmission loading up and unloading, like springing, like the dual mass springs are super soft, or maybe its mount flex. Any insight, guys?

Most likely the dogbone mount flexing. Try an insert or a solid puck mount.

You should also remove the restriction/delay piece from the clutch bleeder block. It's free (other than having to add some fluid to bleed the clutch) and did wonders for me. DIY's Here and Here.
