Great weekend at grattan. The car did great and I was able to smoke my prior PB with a 1:33.16. prior was 1:37.xx. on the old suspension and before I did all poly bushings. I was really hoping the new setup was going to pay off and it did big-time. I'm so happy with how the cat behaves now.

Didn't have any overheating issues either. Amazing

Nice. I've been looking to do that but it looks like the CBFA folks are SOL.

I'm in the same boat, but there may be some hope...

Apparently someone is experimenting with bolting a CBFA thermostat housing (with the extra sensor) to a Graf aluminum CCTA water pump. The thermostat housings between the CCTA and CBFA are shaped slightly different where they insert into the pump housing, but it looks like it's possible to modify the water pump slightly with a small grinder / dremel to work. I'll have more details in the coming weeks.

I overlooked a few updates and forgot to post here. Oil cooler has been mounted and installed. Next up is the Graf aluminum water pump.

Parts list for the pieced together oil cooler below for reference.

(2)1/2" BSP to 8AN adapters

8AN hose ~ 5 feet
Can't remember where I ordered this from but any 8an hose will work.

(4) 8AN fittings to make the lines, depending on where you mount the cooler will dictate which angles you need.

Misc screws/self tapping screws from home depot to mount the cooler.

Couple questions Jay...

The Mocal SP1 Sandwich plate you linked doesn't have a thermostat. The correct part# for the one with thermostat is SP1T
http://50.62.235.225/files/sp1t.pdf
As a side note, they also have the sandwich plate designed for the TSI, which is part# SP1T-TSI

The oil cooler you linked to has -16 O-ring ports? Or did you go with the one that has 22M ports, and then use 22M to 8AN adapters?

Thanks!

ah crap you're absolutely right on the sandwich plate. I linked the wrong one, I do have the one with built in oilstat.

on the cooler question I'll have to confirm the part# later when I get home.
