Nice car, you cant go wrong with black. I went with candy white because I think it looks so fresh when its clean but I do wish sometimes I had black. You need to throw some tints on there. We got tough tint laws in NY but I have 35% with no trouble. That engine cover looks really good too. The temperatures dropping, you're gonna love the turbo even more soon. My car is always feels much livlier in the 50-60 degree weather.

Thanks, the engine cover was a test to see how it looks and may do the battery box & fuse cover too. I know that windows does have a little tint in it but I have not look Where would be a good place to get it done.

Local End Of Season Car Meet

Went to a Awesome car meet last month with some really nice looking cars. There is alot of EVOs & STIs around me so some of the different cars looked more appealing.

Beautiful GTI. Talked to the owner (nice guy) everything is original and the inside is as clean as the outside! Looks brand new!

Yes, I did do my own. I do and don't like it. I didn't sand it down it all so up close it looks a little bumpy. I did not know if I was going to like is so I didn't bother. Now that I do like the style I'm going to redo it and do the battery box/fuse box. Not sure yet.

what kind of paint did you use?

Gonna throw in another compliment for that engine cover. Nicely done. I wouldn't worry about the smoothness, it's impossible to get that look without the surface being rough.

If you want to keep the ride comfortable you're best off leaving it stock to be honest. Otherwise a good set of springs and dampers would be my suggestion. Any particular reason you're thinking of sway bars?
