Looking for diagnostic app and dongle help

Also, what would you say the best app is? I've read that dashcommand is a good app but am interested in others! Any help is appreciated

It will read OBD2 codes but not vag faults. You can use this in conjunction with the carista app to read vw faults. Or obdeleven dongle and app does that and a little more. Or just get VCDS

VCDS is amazing if you have the cash. Otherwise, cheap dongles like this are pretty good.

If the car has APR software on it, then APR mobile is the way to go!

While it does cost more then most of the other options; you pay for what you get. APR mobile can be used to access APR’s EMCS program switching features, read and clear fault codes, and data log the ECU at higher data rates then other options offer.

The mobile app can also be used to access APR’s news, find a APR dealer, or review your previously saved data logging sessions.
