Hey guys, my name's Deshan and I'm from Australia.
I have been lurking this forum for a while now, and recently made an account but never posted.

So I thought I'd introduce myself and start up a build thread on here too, to get more ideas and feedback.

Basically, I have the base model Golf that is offered in Australia (Well was, now mk7's are out and the 77 is discontinued). Its a 1.2L Petrol turbo, 77kw.

I initially bought it as a daily, as I also have a mid spec 2012 C200 Mercedes.

Here it is on delivery day:

First mod was 17" GTI Denver wheels:

Swapped the rear tail lights for OEM GTI ones as they are tinted:

Weathershields:

Carbon eyelids:

Plastidipped front and rear emblems, as well as side mirrors:

Then came my first major mod, Megan Racing Coilovers:

Got a GTI exhaust system:

Door sill plates:

Roof racks:

Custom exhaust to make it fit better on the stock valance:

GTI Interior (I think these are the optional seats in the US?)

Roof racks plastidipped black and fairing added:

8000K HID and rubber lip I bought from a rubber shop haha (oh, and my merc)

Then got my current wheels, BBS RS Reps, 17x7.5 +38
(not a fan of reps, but needed the tyres that came with it)

Rocking up to a night meet:

GTI steering wheel swap:

Defected by highway patrol for too low:

Aftermarket ANS510 Headunit:

Went on a ~700km drive for the annual german auto display show so I taped the front of the car, quite like this colour, might wrap it.

Mk5 Carbon wing:

Wiper delete:

Side on wing:

Thats where it's at so far, near-future plans include: Air suspension (7th October), R front bumper, GTI rear bumper, R-line side skirts and new wheels (Real wheels not reps)

Thanks for viewing, looking forward to getting feedback from you guys.
