'11 gti - dgs holds 2nd gear under light acceleration?

I understand the dsg "learns" the way you drive, etc. But sometimes I pull off from a stop like a grandma and it holds 2nd gear to 3-4k rpms then shifts through the rest of the gears around 2k rpm like it should under light acceleration.

Why is it only 2nd gear?
Why hold the gear so long if I'm barely on the gas?
Does this happen to anyone else?

My dsg mkv never did this...

Happens to me, never really thought much of it though.

My car's done that basically since new. It won't hold it from a start but if it downshifts to take a turn it will hold it on the exit of the turn. Even under moderate power it seems to shift at the same spot.

Same here. Not really happy with my dsg. I plan to change dsg oil, maybe it will change something. As I know, Dsg does not learn really, it selects its program (map) according your drive style. I do not know if it is possible to reset dsg some how.
