Tried this on a UK GTi. Worked perfectly. Thanks for the advice.
Didn't need to cycle ignition, just done the steps with ign off then turned ign and after few seconds it beeped.

Would this work if you implemented HIDs to the car? Obviously you wouldn't want DRL on with HIDs...

Did you even read the first post of the thread? It's for 2010's with halogens.

Can't believe I just found this thread. Worked for me.

Here's a question; could this cause a problem with your insurance if you're in an accident and they determine you've disabled your DRLs?
