Long story short, I am trying to replace my 2.5 with a new(er) one. I found one from a wrecked Passat, but the engine is a CBUA, and the engine in my car is a CBTA. I know most of the differences are emissions related, so would i be able to swap on in without any issues?
Also, Since the replacement engine would come with the transmission, i was planning on swapping that too, however again, the Passat trans is a PDT, and my car engine is a MAN.
At the moment, buying a new car is not feasible, so for 500$ i could get my car up and running again, which is why im trying to figure out this crazy problem.
