Distribution?

As I stated in another thread, I'm looking for a GTI with specific options. It seems there are not very many 4-door GTI's with manual transmission and cloth interior, and the few out there are north and east from me. Most of the dealers in my area (Texas) have only the launch vehicles.

Question: does anybody know from which direction the VW's are distributed? I'm thinking if they distribute from the Northeast coast, then it may take longer for my region to get the newer models.

eh, not sure.. Just ask someone at VW to find one for you.. I wanted it specific too, found about 10 of em.

I has read somewhere that the USA cars are distributed from
- Brunswick, Georgia
- Davisville, Rhode Island
- Houston, Texas
- San Diego, California
...but I do not now if both German and Mexican built cars distribute from all these locations.

I havent seen a new one for 2010. I cant say. The ones we got were gone before I saw the stickers.

When I get another unit in I will look and find out.
