Bigger brake disc rotor

my GTI has the stock detroit wheels on it. I would like to have a bigger brake disc rotor not because I need performance, but it looks better. I don't like to see the empty space between the disc and wheel. when i saw car on street with bigger wheels but small disc rotor, it look so ugly to me. so, here is my question:

Can I have a bigger disc rotor but keep my old stock caliper?

When car brake, weight shift to the front. Thats why front disc rotor is bigger than rear.
but I want a bigger rear disc rotor to look better. my second question:

if i have both front and rear disc rotor the same size:
how it will affect the braking?
do i need to adjust anything?

Thanks :)

What?
You will need different calipers with bigger rotors. Search for golf r or MKV r32 front and rear brakes. Your brakes are 312mm front 288mm rear. The r setup are 345mm front 310mm rear. I have them on my JSW and love them.
