Passenger side rear suspension won't fully compress

Passed Driver's Ed
I just replaced my H&R Super Sport springs with a H&R static setup that I purchased used locally. I drove a bit then noticed the car was sitting ~1.5" taller on the passenger rear side. I've removed the tire and attempted to raise the assembly with a jack. It gets about 2.5" up and starts lifting the car. Wheras, the driver's side goes significantly higher and doesn't raise the car until the bump stop is hit. Passenger side has about ~2" until the bump stop when it starts lifting the car.

Below are the current steps I've taken to deduce the cause with the wheel removed and raising the assembly with a jack:

  • Removed strut entirely; no change
  • Removed spring but attached lower control arm; moves much more freely and higher
  • Attached strut but removed spring: moves freely similar to above
  • Loosened the other lower control arm bolt; no change
  • Installed an old H&R super sport spring; no change
  • Tested the shock out of the car to confirm it works as it should; works the same as a stock one i have.

Something seems to be causing binding when the spring is attached. I can't see anything in the way or damaged/bent. Both sides look the same, as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
