I can't count how many times I've received compliments on my Detroits. From enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. They're the first thing anyone notices and when they're cleaned up and the tires dressed I love the look. The only hate I hear about them comes from forums like this.
lol.

yeah because putting it on a scirocco is very camry like.

The Detroits are dripping with GTI essence but I voted for the Serrons because (a) I chose them for my GTI and (2) I think the Lagunas smell of aftermarket add ons and I like designs that endure

But these are the wheels I hope to be on one day. In an R with DSG in Canada *dream*

The only thing that is similar is that they are both a 10 spoke design. The interlagos wheels are twisted like a turbine and aren't just straight spokes.

The day I compare my rims to Toyota Camary rims I hope someone will have the decency to shoot me in the head. Those K4 Design rims are very nice...

I've spent the last 3 years looking for rims to replace my Detroits -and yes, I find them ugly if you want to put me in one camp.

I want concave rims - you know, like something is sucking them from the axle. ANd they must have a lip to give that width look even if "only" 8 wide.

Also, I must have 17" rims.. yeah, the trend is 19" , 20" but I'm not trendy. I'm replacing my 18"/40's Detroits for 17"/45's... too many potholes, too many blown tires.

Finally, some like to show off their real or fake Brembo brake pads with skinny rims. I don't. So the center of the rim needs to be filled so as not to show the brake pads.

The rims I like but they don't come in 17" are the BMW M5 2002 "snow flakes" rims. Their titanium like color is fantastic.

Am I just too hard to please? wtf?!?
