Its like they read the back of the brochure and never drove it..

I don't think so. The Golf R will always just get the 6 speed DSG

The 7 speed DSG to my knowledge is only on the 1.4TSI engines that need the extra gear to go that bit more of power. The 2 litres all have just 6 gears. Although come to think of it the GTI and R20 both have the same 2.0 TSIs so for the extra 60bhp one would normally have expected a 7speed DSG. But anyways, the car still beats the hell out of others. A smaller engine by 1200cc over its .:R32 predecessor and its faster acceleration and even more powerful and let's not forget the new looks she dons
